Infrastructure & Transportation

You don’t need a report to know something’s off.
Just drive through District 25.

The roads tell the story.
The traffic tells the story.

And in many places like Belle Meade and Pleasant Valley, the lack of basic infrastructure is putting people at risk.

You can go to other parts of Greenville County and see the difference immediately. Smoother roads. Sidewalks. Safer crossings. Infrastructure that actually keeps up with growth.

Then you come back here, and it feels like we’ve been put on the back burner.

What’s happening in District 25

District 25 is growing. New homes are being built. More people are moving in.

But the infrastructure isn’t keeping up.

In areas like Augusta Road and near Donaldson Center, people are walking every day without safe sidewalks or proper pedestrian access. These are high-traffic corridors where residents are trying to get to work, stores, and bus stops.

And too often, that comes with real danger.

We’ve seen too many pedestrian accidents and fatalities in these areas. That’s not just an infrastructure issue. That’s a safety issue.

Other parts of Greenville County continue to see consistent investment in roads, sidewalks, and transportation planning.

Why this matters

Infrastructure isn’t just about convenience.
It’s about safety and fairness.

When our district is overlooked:

  • People are forced to walk in unsafe conditions

  • Families risk their safety just getting where they need to go

  • Businesses lose access and visibility

  • Entire communities feel ignored

No one should lose their life because basic infrastructure wasn’t in place.

What I will work on in the State House

  • Bring resources back to District 25
Fight for our fair share of infrastructure funding so our communities are no longer overlooked.

  • Sidewalks and pedestrian safety improvements
Prioritize building sidewalks and safer crossings in high-risk areas like Augusta Road and Donaldson Center.

  • Fix roads, not just patch them
Push for long-term solutions instead of temporary fixes.

  • Hold agencies accountable
Work with state and local partners to move stalled projects forward.

  • Plan for growth the right way
Ensure infrastructure is included before development, not after.
