Having had the opportunity to be mentored by the late John Lewis, I understand that the right to vote is sacred. We should be making voting easier, not harder for Americans. This is especially true for working people and single parents.

 

Therefore, as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives I will fight:

​

• To make Election Day an official state holiday;

• To end straight-ticket voting;

• To enact same-day voter registration;

• To expand early voting; and

• To expand absentee voting.  

​

It’s time to make voting as accessible as possible.
