Currently, our state is ranked “low” in terms of equality for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

 

As a member of the SC House of Representatives, I will always stand with LGBTQ+ South Carolinians. Specifically:

• I will fight to codify anti-discrimination laws that protect LGBTQ+ individuals from unfair employment and housing practices. 

• I will work to end South Carolina’s ban on cities and counties adopting nondiscrimination measures. 

• I will work with the Department of Education to protect LGBTQ+ children with public school initiatives to proactively support LGBTQ+ youth to end bullying, harassment, and discrimination, including in children’s sports. 

• I will always listen to LGBTQ+ voices on matters directly affecting the community.
